“Compassion is born in the soil of vulnerability, humility, and the awareness that we are all connected.”

Self-compassion Is Frequently Easier When We Learn With Others.
Since I held my first Creating Self-Compassion class in 2021, during the last session of the course, I’ve always been asked, “What’s next?” or “When is the next class?”
I also frequently receive notes from people about how hearing that other people were experiencing similar things in their self-compassion journey offered some comfort from knowing they are not alone.
You are not alone.
That is why I have decided to hold a bi-monthly discussion and inspiration group, and we meet biweekly on Saturday, from 10 to 11:30 AM MDT.
I will begin each session with a welcome, and then we will have 10 minutes of stillness to meditate, contemplate, pray, or rest in the stillness, watching our brain activity. After that, we’ll discuss what we noticed about our brain activity in the stillness or anytime in the past week or two. Possibly, we'll discuss our brain’s reactions to that activity without analyzing it. Then we’ll discuss self-compassionate ways to work with our brain's reactions. Anyone who wants to share, please share your experiences managing your mind so we can learn from each other.
The goal is to learn new ways of managing our minds to minimize our suffering and increase our joy, peace, and contentment.
This group will be a safe place to build community and wisdom together.
Will you join us?
The group is a contribute-as-you-go, so you only sign up for the next meeting.
I ask for a $10 to $15 donation per session; however, no one will be turned away for financial reasons. Please send me a note if you need assistance, and, if you are comfortable, contribute more to help others in need; thank you.
